5 SIGNS YOUR ENGINE IS LOOSING POWER.

does it feel like the horses under your hood have slowly turned into ponies? If so you might have a power problem. Back when good ol' carburetors ruled and fuel pumps were all mechanical, power loss was easier to fix, i.e. a vapor lock or a clogged fuel filter. This century fuel systems have drastically took over, and as your own body, every car needs fuel to burn and air to breathe. No vehicle likes to be running in high altitudes with a bannana crammed up the tail pipe.

here are a few signs that you might need a new power motor

   1) If your foot is pedal to the medal and you keep getting dusted it might be a sign that your fuel system isnt sending enough juice to your engine to make it accelerate.it could be you have a leaking fuel line, clogged injector or gummed-up filter. Make sure if this is something you think it might be, think about taking it to a professional to diagnosis  before diving in.

  2) If you step on the pedal to accelerate and all you get is a HUGE backfire, or a smoking exhaust it might indicate either too much fuel or theres minimal spark, and both can bring a power loss. If you pop the hood and you smell a reaking of gas, DO NOT TRY TO START IT! It's time to get a FREE TOW WITH REPAIRS!

  3) If your driving and the steering wheel is completly out of control, even if you are a body builder you wont be able to control that steering wheel. ITS TIME TO GET YOUR VEHICLE DIAGNOSED FOR FREE!

  4) If it struggles to accelarate at an incline or completely shuts off, that  might signify a clogged fuel filter. your fuel filter is the antibiotic to your vehicle. It's job is to filter off the gunk that goes through the vehicle. and if it is not doing its job that could result in a loss of power. DONT JUST REPLACE THE FILTER, check to see what made the filter clogged it could be a contaminant or a result of a different issue.

5)THAT SCARY FLASHING LIGHT ON YOUR DASH, could be the result of your own vehicle letting you know that there is a power loss to the engine. All the above signs will pull this light so when you see this light heed its warning it is telling you that something is just quite not right.

WHY ITS IMPORTANT TO GET YOUR VEHICLE'S ELECTRIC SYSTEM SERVICED.

There are dozens of electrical veins running power to your vehicles elctrical system and each varys by vehicle year make and model. you've had your vehicle for a while now and its been driving great and all of a sudden its not driving as great as it used to you might be struggling with some transmission issues.

here are a couple of tips that might point to your trany running on thin ice:

     1) SLIPPING GEARS:The engine makes noise and the tachometer is raising without your pressing the accelarator.

2)ROUGH SHIFTS:  If there is a big clunk or it seems like the trany is lurching while shifting from drive to reverse.

     3) DELAYED GEAR ENGAGEMENT: If you shift from park to reverse or from park to drive and the car doesnt do anything for a couple seconds it likely there is a serious problem with your transmission.

4)FLUID LEAKS: Make sure vehicle always has enough transmission fluid, because if it doesnt have enough then that might be a reason for the above signs.
